Freelance Writer and Editor Karen Mitchell Smith
Award-winning, freelance writer Karen Mitchell Smith earned her English degree from Texas Tech University in 1985, but she enjoyed publishing success long before that. Her passion for the written word began early with a deep love for books and a complete understanding of the power of words. During the last 20-odd years, she has honed her natural abilities through challenging projects, targeted education, and long nights with the midnight oil. Karen’s book, Taking Charge: Your Education, Your Career, Your Life, is currently being used for freshman orientation classes at Texas State Technical College Waco.
